Hostels Albergue San Martín On the Camino del Norte, in the remote Galician village of Miraz is our second pilgrim hostel – Albergue San Martín. Established in 2005 and later expanded in 2010, San Martín offers traditional pilgrim hospitality in the form of welcome, a bed and breakfast in the tranquil surroundings of the green countryside between the towns of Baamonde and Sobrado, a few days short of Santiago. We also have a beautiful kitchen where pilgrims can make meals together, using food from one of the local grocers. The albergue is open between the months of April and October inclusive. See our Facebook Page for frequently posted updates with our lates news and information. Want to stay with us? We have 20 beds, given on a first-come-first-served basis (in the traditional spirit of the camino, we do not take reservations), as well as a fully-equipped kitchen and an attractive garden We offer a simple breakfast We are only able to take pilgrims who walk, cycle or ride on horseback We are donativo – meaning pilgrims that stay with us make a donation towards the upkeep of the albergue We open at 14:00 (may vary depending on weather) Pilgrims with special needs can ring ahead for advice on facilities Our albergue is staffed 24 hours a day throughout the season Want to work with us? We are always looking for hospitaleros (hostel wardens) to staff San Martín. These consist of volunteers who are either members of the CSJ or other equivalent associations around the world, who work for 2 weeks in a team of 2-4 hospitaleros depending on experience. Applicants should have done a camino previously. Support Albergue San Martín by visiting our donations page here with a general donation or by sponsoring a week. Manage Cookie Preferences
