The end of the route, the last step in France, marks the beginning of the Camino Frances in Spain which of course leads all the way to Santiago de Compostela.

The alternative name , Via Lemovicensis, refers to the crossing of the Limousin and the city of Limoges, one of the most important pilgrim sites in the Middle Ages.
