The Beds/Bucks/Herts Regional Group met via Zoom during lockdown when a group of local CSJ members came together to keep the Camino spirit alive. 

To relaunch the group, a special event has been planned on Saturday 30th May 2026 around the Hertford area. We will meet at Waterford Village Hall for coffee at 10:30 am where we may leave our cars and use the toilet. We will then walk a short distance to the church of St Michael & All Angels in Waterford High Road, Waterford, Hertfordshire, SG14 2PS to see and hear about the amazing Edwardian mosaics and pre-Raphaelite stain glass windows, including the designs of Edward Burne-Jones.

We then return to Waterford Village Hall for our packed lunch and afterwards we’ll enjoy a 4 mile circular walk to the village of Stapleford. This is an easy walk through Stapleford Heath and alongside the River Beane. We then return to Waterford for tea and cake and if you’ve still got the energy, there will be live music in the Church to enjoy. It will be a great day out, and everyone is welcome.

There is a small charge of £5 for this event to make a donation to the church and village hall for their hospitality.  

If you are coming by train, Hertford North Station is just a 1.2 mile walk to Waterford, or just ask for a lift if you prefer.
