We are very pleased to announce the recent revival of a CSJ regional group in Yorkshire. With invaluable support and encouragement from Ultreia Mancunia (UM), our North West CSJ neighbours, the Yorkshire group is busy forging a sustainable and enthusiastic community, with highly successful events in Leeds (December 2024) and York (February 2025) already under our belt.

We have an active WhatsApp group to build our membership numbers and relationships. For those who prefer to simply keep in touch with news of events and activities by email, this can be easily accommodated.

Current activities include establishing a distinct Yorkshire identity to promote our new community. The county’s White Rose (Rosa Blanca) symbol is going to be a central feature in our future branding and promotional materials. More on that to follow soon.

A second buzz of activity is the generation of a pool of potential walks, covering all four compass points of the county.  We hope to organise spring/summer and autumn walks this year, ahead of a Christmas social in December.

Some members of the group are about to embark on camino trips during March. We wish them a ‘Buen Camino’ and look forward to them sharing occasional photos and experiences along their Pilgrim Way.

The success of Rosa Blanca will be greatly enhanced by a strong membership. If you’re interested in learning more about us, then please do not hesitate to get in touch. If you happen to live outside the county boundaries, you’ll still be made most welcome!

¡Feliz caminata!

Group Leader: James O'Malley

Upcoming Events

The next outing for Rosa Blanca, the Yorkshire CSJ Regional Group, is scheduled for Saturday 20th June. The plan is to walk from Sheffield Railway Station to Padley Gorge, just over the border into Derbyshire and then returning by train. The distance is approximately 10 miles, through quite varied countryside, and with a site of religious significance ( Padley Martyrs) at the end-point. Contact james for more information.
