Saturday 27 September 2025 - Queen Eleanor Crosses Way
Our last walk was the Queen Eleanor Crosses Way on Saturday 27 September. We walked from Brigstock in Northants following the historic Queen Eleanor route to Geddington to visit one of the three remaining elaborate stone crosses constructed in 1291 by Edward I. These crosses were placed to mark where Eleanor's funeral cortege rested overnight en route from Harby near Lincoln where she died in November 1290 to Westminster Abbey for burial. This was a circular walk of 7.6 miles/12.2km returning via field paths to Brigstock.

St Wistan's Way
We had a very enjoyable St Wistan's Way pilgrimage in November. The floods had receded and the sun shone for us! You are welcome to join us for our next 2 events.
